Right and wrong

Right and Wrong

I sing of the first night of the trip,
When we kissed
That told us we’d be together
For the rest of our lives.

I sing of the ride home,
As we cuddled up front of a truck
While we slept holding hands
Dreaming sweet dreams.

With all the pressure from everybody,
Telling him what to do
Gave him seconds thoughts
About our dreams coming true.

I sing of the serious talk we had,
About what was going to happen
Going to last but
There was another girl.

I sing of silence that’s between us,
As I watch you laugh in the hall
Why did I think that is would work
Was it that other girl.
