**Homeless**

by monika   Oct 23, 2006

Twinkling stars cant keep you warm
When your sleeping in the cold till the break of dawn
Newspaper pillow and you're not feeling smart
Watching for the killers that come out after dark

Lost your job got jacked and robbed
your landlord said thats not my prob
Trying to find a shelter to get some rest
But nowhere seems safe without a knife proof vest

Feeling invisible going insane
Every night you hope it doesn't rain
You're feeling the pain and endless cold
You wish that you were in bed sleeping warm

You're thinking how did this ever happen to me"
You're thinking if thing were different where you would be
You're looking at the empty money cap
Except all you find is a button and a Sweet wrap

Every night before you go to sleep
All you can think about is why ME?
You feel your stomach roaring with hunger
And you think someone throw me a Burger

You feel angry and you think life is unfair
You are lying on a cold street and no one even cares
People look at you as if they were ashamed
And you think "i thought everyone is meant to be the same"

Pain in your body, pain in your back
Thinking how you met this horrible track
At the end of the day the most painful is your heart
Because everyday its tearing you more and more apart

And then you think again "why me?"
And if things were different where would i be?
And again your thought are rushing through your mind
And someone runs up to you, stabs you and you die.

And now that you are gone theres no more pain
No more thoughts and no more heartache
There's no more thinking "why me?"
And no one even said to you R.I.P

(I WROTE THIS POEM TO TRY AND MAKE PEOPLE REALIZE THAT HOMELESS PEOPLE AREN'T PEOPLE WHO MAKE THE STREETS LOOK DIRTY, BUT THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME AS US AND DESERVE RESPECT)

WOW This blew me away, i loved it completely. I have written a similar one to this, but this..wow. Just wow. And i agree that homeless people need respect.
Everything about this was perfect, the imagery, the wording, the flow. 5/5
