Thinking Of You

by Russ   Oct 24, 2006

If gloom should come down my way
On a dark and depressive lonely day
I can sit alone and know the while
Thinking of you will bring a smile

If rain should seep in through cracks in stone
And the wind should punish my sanity lone
I can sit and know in my soul
Thinking of you will make me whole

If emotion should cause me unsure pain
And the black knife doth stab me over again
I can sit here and know within
Thinking of you will help me win

If all is against me and I am blind
To the thoughts and feelings within my mind
I can sit and know for sure
Thinking of you will bring me cure

If I feel like nothing is right
And I could fall down without a fight
I can sit and realise
Thinking of you will cease these lies

And if I were to be stricken across the head
And to fall down there, inert and dead
I could lie there having known along
Thinking of you was what kept my love so strong
