A Soldier died for you

by Ericka   Oct 24, 2006

On March 1, 1985 a Soldier was born
As I go through his pictures
I cry up a storm

To see him as a child really brings it to light
Jeffery died for this country
He died for you & I

For when he was young I never would have guessed
A beautiful baby
All involved in this mess

He became our Hero
As he fought for us
To keep terrorist off American soil
He gave all for our freedom

The war has no mercy
The killers don’t care
But another soldier lost
Too many we can’t spare

The family mourns
We cry you see
Jeffery was more than a Soldier
He was family to me

The tremble it sent through me
To hear such a thing
My favorite baby cousin is gone
And now I feel lost & empty

Tonight I look through pictures
Many tears will fall
Jeffery was killed
To save us all

I love you Jeffey
You I will miss
And thank you sweetie
For being America’s hero at what ever the cost
You will forever be missed

This is remembrance of my cousin
PFC Jeffery Paul Shaffer who died in the war
You can view his guest book and see obits too.
