The Dreaded Night

by Nikki   Oct 25, 2006

She sat dreading the night to come,
She wished she wasn't going alone.
Always talking to him on the phone,
She didn't ask him but, she really wanted to.
With no one else but him how,
Could she let him know.
She began to like him more and more,
Her heart began to feel sore,
As it tore.
More and more.
Even though she was sure,
That the boy she adores,
Wasn't going to be there when she walked in the door,
And on to the dance floor,
She felt like she shouldn't be there.
She didn't know why she cared
Everyone had someone to share.
The moment that she would not dare.
To ask him too be there.
