Unexpected Break

I never thought that you could make me cry.
Everything you said was killing me inside.
I just stayed there, listening to you break my heart.
I tried holding myself together, but I fell apart.
Why would you say such heart wrenching things?
You can't possibly understand the pain that brings.
To see you filled with such fury as that.
Feeling so trapped to where I sat.
I couldn't bring myself to look at you.
I didn't want to think you changed,
But I already knew.
I had to get up, I couldn't stay.
All because you broke my heart that day. -
