Hatred

by linds   Oct 25, 2006

It's a burning sensation
in the pit of my stomach.
The monster inside me
that you released.
The mosnter that until now,
was completly silent.
The monster called
hatred.

You look at me
and I look away
all I can feel for you now
is hatred.

You asked me one day,
What I would do without you.
Well now I know,
'Cause without you now
I'm leading a better life...

You say it was my fault,
said I lied,
I cheated.
I would never do that to you
I loved you too much
to lie or cheat.
But now all that love
that I had for you
is replaced with hatred
all I can feel for you now
is hatred.

Today is a different day.
Time to start anew,
different faces,
same old places.
That love rekindled
by someone
who will love me
forever and always.
Someone I know
when I say "I love you"
I'll always mean it.

So thanks for the laughs,
but thank you more for the tears.
I realize now
that I can face my fears.
I don't need you behind me,
holding my hand along the way.
I can face this world
with a smile on my face,
and I can leave the shadows of the past,
behind me to mean nothing at all.

Some say goodbye in anger,
some say goodbye in sadness,
and some just never say goodbye.
But this is my goodbye,
my farewell for now.
Thanks for nothing,
you taught me a lesson,
and that lesson is this
Learn to say goodbye,
before you begin...
