Seventeen

by *Charisma*   Oct 26, 2006

I wish crushes were just crushes
A simple childish fairytale
I wish jobs were cash in the pocket
Not bills coming in the mail

I wish a hug from mom and dad
Would fix the problems I face
I wish that I could go outside
And play on the sunny days

I wish I had bedtime stories
Not the evening news
I wish I'd get lollipops from doctors
Not the amount that is due

Most of all I wish life was simple
Like it used to be for me
I guess what I want to be again
Is simply....seventeen

I've written a poem like this and I think you have too....but this one is by far the best. I liked it a lot cause it was sweet and inocent without sounding corny. Great job!
