So much is happening,
my world is in a spin.
My life permanently stuck in reverse.
Not sure what to do,
I look around at everyone,
desperation in my eyes.
They say to move on,
you have to get stronger.
But I can feel myself slipping,
slipping, away from everything
that seemed so sure, so certain.
But now I'm second-guessing
everything I knew.
I walk around aimlessly,
tears clouding my eyes.
But as much as I think
that everything is at its worst,
I just look up to the heavens.
Please, just keep that smile on your face,
the one that everyone knew so well.
Nothing could replace the memories.
