The Angel Inside of Me

by myshiningstar14   Oct 27, 2006

The face of an angel,
I was anything but;
my life just my luck.

Smothered in neglect
and the faces if my past,
I felt I was bound,
never to be found.

Crawling alone inside,
no one knew how I
really felt inside.
I'd never known love.
I was driven to the
point where I thought
I'd never amount to
anything.

The voices seemed to
scream at me.
So many people
tried to care,
tried to understands;
in the end only one
knows me like no
other.

He helped me bloom
into what already was;
unmasking what was
hiding my true beauty..

He wiped my tears,
curdled my fears.
He touched my heart,
my hand,
my lips.

Beneath all the scars
and the bruises,
beneath all the tears,
the brokenness,
the pain;
He's made me realize
the angel inside of me.

He made me see the
things I couldn't see.
He took my pain,
dipped his heart into the
love of the Father and
began washing away
the stains.

He took me by the hand,
and here I stand;
with an angel inside of me.
No longer will I roam the
streets of unhappiness,
for there's an angel inside
of me.

    Hi, I like it! Though I aint much of a love poem reader, so a little hard to comment, sry... Good rimes, and the structure is nice indeed, though The Angel inside is trapped, and free'd by Dave, but why? Putting up a facade Shining? How's you're inner Angel always kept in silence... Just some answers I needed :) Perhaps I read wrong, but anyways Shining... Great Poem :)
