The circle of life

by kamal   Oct 27, 2006

Very gradually,
Your adulthood loomed to a fading
Very gradually,
My youth bloomed to a grading

Very evenly
Your face withered to a shadow
Very evenly
My place weathered to a glow

Very calmly
Your hold lessened to a release
Very calmly
My foothold strengthened to an ease

Very steadily
Your embrace came to a liberation
Very steadily
My pace came to a determination

Very smoothly
Your striving arrived to a halt
Very smoothly
My thriving survived and evolved

Very slowly
Your breathing reached to an end
Very slowly
My living enriched to ascend

You presented,
A scented,
And blended
Gift of life

Very gradually
My adulthood seems to loom to fade
Very gradually
Your childhood seems to groom to a grade

Very evenly
My face seems to wither to a shadow
Very evenly
Your place seems to glitter to a glow

Very calmly
My hold seems to lessen to a release
Very calmly
Your foothold seems to toughen to an ease

Very steadily
My embrace seems to reach liberation
Very steadily
Your pace seems to hitch to determination

Very smoothly
My striving seems to arrive to a halt
Very smoothly
Your thriving seems to be alive and resolved

Very slowly
My breathing seems to reach to an end
Very slowly
Your living seems to bridge to ascend

A present,
Similarly fragrant,
To you it is in descent
The circle of life
