Goodbyes.

by Steven Beesley   Oct 27, 2006

Goodbyes:

Goodbyes are so sad to say,
often with a lump in your throat and a heavy heart.
All words just get in the way.
A last glance, maybe a hug and a final nod.

Parting, we think of times past,
of precious laughter, joy and tears.
Of many happy years
spent in each other's company.

But today I must bid you goodbye
as you go on your way to start
your new life, your new family; only a void remains
inside as I really don't know what more to say?

I hope that one day we can
share again some time, some
time to reflect on the past
and maybe on the future.

What would have been is all I have,
have to hold close to my heart
as I say my last goodbye and
wishing you a good brand new start.

But my love is still held deep in my heart
and no one can ever take this away.
Another time, another place we may
have a chance and never part.

Nothing could have described the pain and loss you feel better than this. Sometimes, what we dream of in our innermost hearts have a good chance of coming true. And I do hope and pray it does the same for you.

    peace and prayers
