How wonderful... every word has impact on the poem and are of great harmony.i love the imagery of this one.

"I wandered among the roses, listening,
Hoping to capture the sound that echoed
Across the iridescent field"

^ I don't know what it was that made me love those lines. Maybe it was the word 'iridescent' which I haven't heard in a poem before, or the mysteriousness of you wandering around roses trying to find the girl that sang so sweetly. I love the imagery that you create in this poem. It gave me this wonderful feeling and that I don't feel very often and am only reminded of it when poems like this one come along. A very beautiful write.
