Porcelain Butterfly

With twisted cinnamon love, look what he made
A ballroom heartattack, decaying masquerade

Born upon a beautiful scarlet mist
Giddy dew-beds her wings had kissed
Her heart was created soaring on a golden haze
The glistening fire in her eyes sent Heaven ablaze
A deep rainbow her soul would glow
A complete seduction her love would echo
Promises kept her faith alive
It was a hidden hope that gave her drive

It was on a night with vanilla skies so gray
That she met a boy and gave her dignity away
With a little bit of pain and vampiric blood
She gave herself away on crimson flower bud
Silver affliction ran down her flustered face
As that boy flew off and vanished without a trace
Fatal trust wounded her that night
Never again would diamond wings take flight

With broken love and cotton candy trust she was abused
Left lose, eternally hurt, with her body and soul misused
More and more she tries with time to let go and forget
With sunset light, she burns out, dusted cigarette
She's crushed by charcoal's overwhelming thirst
To go back and erase her first
With deep ash remembrance, she recalls how he smiled
As she feels within her skin the first kick of his child
