October 13

by ModernDavinci   Oct 27, 2006

The day was bleak, gray, and cold
Tumbling leaves made the wind smell of mold
Truth lost its essence as your voice stealed the air
Trouble arose with the illusion that I didn't care
Hollow cries echoed into the day
With snow falling, the heat inside melted away
I wanted more than anything for you to understand
That sugar angels and I had once held your hand
We both yelled and said things we didn't mean
And anything we were broke off with every scream
