I knew it when i met you for the very first time
we were meant to be together there wasn't a doubt in my mind.

immediately we were together
a couple everyone knew
we had an instant connection, our friends could feel it too.

people said it wouldn't work; we were in different places,
but our love was everlasting
you could see t in our faces.

the school seen it differently
forbidding the relationship to start
our feelings were real strong
so it was easy to tear us apart.

they actually went through everything making sure we didn't last
judging by incidents
with boyfriends in the past.

but it's like we knew forever this relationship wasn't right
even though i was your princess
and you were my knight.

now we were finally separated we let them tear us apart
and left us to pick up the pieces of our broken hearts.

now i know thats not true because we're not together.
