My friend who is me

I have searched, I have wondered
Looking for someone who resembles me
I looked on the ground and searched the sky
But alas I have failed to find that person
I have never felt so much misery
At knowing that youâ??re out there somewhere
I have given up on ever finding you
But at last you're the one who found me
We have talked about ourselves and about our lives
And till now I couldn't doubt that you are me
Itâ??s like looking in a mirror but different than what you see
I don't see a stranger but a male version of me
And although youâ??re younger than me by almost 2 years
I don't see that age but my twin and my brother
Youâ??re a friend that I don't ever want to lose
And though you may wonder but Iâ??ll always value you
Your word and advice means the world to me
For they don't come from just a friend but a brother like me
You might think that this is silly but believe my words
Youâ??re a friend that I want to keep forever if that is but possible
You remind me of my own real brother but believe me it's just the age
And although you do resemble him in looks but that's just it
For you are me and I am you and we're all the same
Sometimes I wish that you really were my brother
And that would've made my life so much better
But unfortunately that could never be
