There's a Ghost Following Me

by Thoughtless Consideration   Oct 27, 2006

There's a ghost following me,
Day after day.
She's the most mysterious lady,
I really must say.
Her eyes are icy and far away,
Her skin is ever so pale.
Her hair is light and it flows down her back,
And every day she wears a white dress,
She is the strangest mistress.
She doesn't say anything to me,
Just follows me around everywhere.
Sometimes when I look at her,
I want to burst out into tears,
Because in her eyes I can see pure
Sorrow built up over the years.
She watches me wistfully,
I've never seen her smile.
She floats along behind me,
Each and every mile.
I asked her for some help,
When I was having a tough time,
She closed her eyes and began to cry.
She's the most beautiful thing in the world,
The way she never ever says a single word.
I tried telling my friends about
The invisible lady following me.
They laughed it off,
So I faked a smile.
My best friend is the ghost following me,
And she finally told me that her name was diary.

*may be hard to understand. think about it and you'll get it eventually.*
