Reflections

"Reflections"

Reflections are the sands of time flowing up into the hour glass.
Wondering where we are going and why did we start to go there in the first place?
We amaze ourselves with how much has happened in the short time that has passed.
And when our imaginations run off, we are quick to give chase.

Self reflection is a time of need, a time to reevaluate our goals and destination?
To see if what we lose is worth becoming what we want to be.
Could it be a chance to break these chains of destiny?
Or is it just an endless spiraling staircase to a dark and hollow fixation?

If in fact we are who we say we are and do the things we do?
Do we ever stop to think if we could see through another persons point of view?
Do we ever stop to think? do we ever stop to hear?
As they take their last breathe and shed a crimson tear.

I thought it was all for survival, I thought this was how it was suppose to be.
All to welcome this new arrival into the land of self inflicted misery.
Looking in the mirror he finally comes to realize.
He's so ashamed of what he's done, he canâ??t even look himself in the eyes.
