Garden for two

by Rasa   Oct 28, 2006

Here am I
There are you
Waiting for forever
In this garden for two

I'm happy here my darling
That big white hat over my eyes
Our innocent faces shining
But not covering up our lies

We're content right here
And theres not need to shout
But our facades hide fear
Because we're on the inside looking out

Cupid must be smiling
As he sees us holding hands
but we're still stuck in this garden
with no grasp on other lands

I'm trapped in a lovely garden
With my beautiful beautiful you
But theres no surprises in my life
And nothing will ever be new

If i look at your face
I know i just might cry
Because as my face bleeds complaints
Yours is just sweet and shy

So i guess in a life like this paradise
Its selfish not to be happy all
And being trapped isn't so bad
If your helping me up when i fall

So I'll sniff a rose
and under my hat wink at u
And enjoy my trapped life
In this garden for two

Nice job on this piece. There are undertomes of sadness...yet there is hope also...of not being alone.
    Good job!
