Weak Face

by Thoughtless Consideration   Oct 28, 2006

The baby was so perfect,
His sweet little round cheeks,
His adorable little smile.
Little did his mother know,
What would happen in a little while.
She was so in love with her new child,
The doctors were scared to tell her what would happen in time.

Finally they broke the news to her,
The baby was very sick.
He was going to die,
The mother did not know how to take this;
She did nothing but cry.

She held her baby in her arms,
Whispering frantic prayers.
Nothing could prepare her for what was to come,
For this baby she truly cared.

Tears tumbled down her weak face,
She held her new born son in her hands.
Singing a tearful lullaby,
Her baby fell asleep.
And she finally realized just then,
Her beloved son was never to wake again.

*in honor of one of our friends whose baby died. may God bless him and send him directly to Heaven, where he won't need to be bothered with the worries of Earth*
