Act 1 was lunch
So long ago
A friend of a friend
Someone I got to know

Act 2 you were my "brother"
And you cared for me
We grew closer and closer,
This I could see

Act 3 best friends always
Is what you said
It repeated over and over
Inside of my head

Act 4 we fell in love,
We were always together
And you promised me
You'd be there forever.

Act 5 we broke up
But you were still my friend
A friendship we said
Would never ever end

Act 6 you said you were leaving
I couldn't believe it was true
And I didn't know how
I could go on without you

And I wished for the chance
To let you see
How much you really
Mean to me

But now you're gone
And you won't come back
The curtains have closed,
Lights have faded to black
