Our Lives on the Screen (End for Friends)

by Weeping Wolf   Oct 28, 2006

Well i remember the day
it was such a tragic scene
we knew it was all over
like an overdue stay
too late, too late
no time to forgive
no time to relive...

and i remember the moment
We all filled the small room
tears sharp as ice, shadows loomed
and we sat down in the cold chairs
we thought we'd never be here
looking up as the lights dimmed
our lives flashed on the screen
a movie of all our favorite memories
put together like a theatre play
from the first kiss to the last breath
the beginning was so innocent
the end so sad- what happened?
then at the end there we were
our faces staring back through the screen
and there we were, there we were
with nothing more to say
yes, i remember that day
a last day for all friends
a last day to make my mends
To laugh to hug to sing...
but don't expect to not cry.

And i remember that moment...that day
when i waved and they took me away
the end for all the living and the dead
then the lie as they smiled and said
"Oh you won't feel a thing"
and my eyes began to sting...

Oh the lie...
"you wont feel a thing"
oh goodbye...
tears that sting...

That's so sad... it almost sounds like a dream or something... but it is still beautiful, and full of sorrow. :) Nice job, dear.
