And With A Lilac

by Christie   Oct 29, 2006

A lilac placed upon her heart,
As she exits her new found world,
Whisked into the light much too soon,
Gone before she could uncurl.

Her life valued under her parents,
They chose to have her killed,
At what point did they stop loving their child??
Without her were they more fulfilled?

As she ascended to His open arms,
He welcomed her with a smile,
Though even with his assurances,
She couldn't keep the tears from her eyes.

She questioned why it had to be,
Why she couldn't have a shot at life,
"I gave you life, a chance to live,
But your parents chose for you to die."

Wipe your tears sweet child and follow me,
I'll love you like you have earned,
Still love your parents, and maybe one day,
Of their mistake they will learn.

Omg. This is so good yet again. xD As in the 2 before, I thought this one was raw with emotion, and the words were beautifully pieced together. Again (you're probably gunna get sick of this), the flow was off in places, but there's always a minor tweak in life, right? =) 5/5 xoxo
