Terminal

by Christie   Oct 29, 2006

Into the shadows I retreat,
Sick with life and pain,
Peace dwells in dark particles,
Never to be seen again.

Congruating at life's terminal,
Everyone alike,
The dark, the somber, the rot of earth,
All too weak to fight.

But u won't know I'm missing,
And the next day will be the same,
Slowly but surely, you will crawl,
Entering the guilty flame.

And I will ask to no one,
Why your not missing me,
Why I blame myself for it,
And why I'm so sorry.

Till dark consumes and breath is gone,
In guilt your burning alive,
Looking up barely conscious saying,
"Without her we can't survive".

Eeh! I like (Eeh?) Beautiful rhyme pattern- halleluljah someone who understands the syllable rhyme dependence! Wonderfully balanced piece, I like the message and how the poem is started AND concluded.

Oh me gee! xD The last stanza really was the one that popped out to me. I loved the raw emotion you had throughout the whole piece, and the flow was a little rocky, yet again, but it wasn't too bad. Where you get this emotion, I do not know, but how you apply it is what amazes me. Oh BTW, you're on my favourites list as of now. ^_^ Keep it up. 5/5 xoxo
