Colours Of Life

by Christie   Oct 29, 2006

Icy tears of forsaken shades,
Grey falling down her face,
Eyes responding to her heart yelling,
A story her minds tried to erase.

Liquid blue around her runs,
Slowly through her heart,
Washing away memories she tried,
To forget from the start.

Yellow lighting up her world,
When she really wants to hide,
No shadows to engulf her in,
Announcing her new found lies.

Orange condemning the ground she's on,
Mocking her in silence,
Knowing just how to get to her,
Striking, without violence.

Lilac, in its innocent shade,
Deceptively conceiving peace,
Asking if its help she needs,
But offering no release.

Black, it understands her pain,
Though offers only sneers,
Rudely reminding her the reality,
That nothing's as it appears.

Oh wow. I love this poem. It just...spoke to me, ya know? I don't know how to fully explain it very well, but it's beautiful. The flow was excellent, but could use some work in places (as most poems do). But if you change the flow, DO NOT CHANGE THE EMOTION! >.< I just found that the emotion in this was straight from the heart, and was well thought up with words. Well done. =) 5/5 xoxo
