Lest We Forget

For the men that gave their lives,
So that we may keep ours.
They gave up everything they had,
to save everything they loved.
Freedom comes at a very high price;
But why does it take so many lives?
Wars are fought to settle an argument,
And men's lives are taken away...
Even though there truly is no winner;
The fight needs to be fought or our freedom lost...
For the lives they gave even if their gun never fired,
We are grateful until the end of time...
Lest we forget:
The men of our freedom,
The men of our country...
The father and son,
That went to war to save loved ones.
Lest we forget;
They'll live on forever in our hearts...
