My heart races
My feet pound the ground
My breathing in unison with my body

Air whips by my face
"It's all down hill from now"
Reassures my mind

I am tired

"Pass them, Re!"

My coaches scream
My teammates roar
"Push! There's the finish line!"

Open my stride
This is what you've been training for

3 years of hard training
Numerous obsticles I've passed
Now's the time to let it rip

The crowd is screaming
My name, a chant
I see all my hard work paying off now

What had inspired me to run
Josh Inos had said in our yearbook

"When you race, you show everyone what you've been training hard for, all of your hard work at practice pays off here. In the end, you're sick to your stomach and you wanna throw up, you know you've ran a good race."
