AFTERMATH

by REX   Oct 31, 2006

I stamd om a hill,
and look down,
at a dark, deserted town.
Look at the buildings,
dark and alone,
with an icy heart cold as stone!

I don't blink,
from the knowledge of an incoming bomb,
a single heartbeat and the town has gone!
I hear screaming,
from the breathtaking blaze,
stood in fear, still i gaze.

Then it hits me,
i break down and cry,
and ask why Innocent people must die?
i lay on the floor,
cold and alone,
looking at a town of blazing stone!

i look to the west,
and my heart gets colder,
a hand grips my shoulder.
Look at a face,
i fill with fear,
at the corner of my eye i felt a tear!

why do they fight?
why do we die?
this is why we all do cry!!
