Girls

Looking at old pictures, thinking of old memories. This is who we are. The girls that fall in love with the boy that tells us we're gorgeous. The girls who would die before going out with no makeup. The girls who think being loud will get good attention. Who wear less clothes to be noticed. Who hae surgrey for the boy that told them they weren't good enough. The girls who really know whats going on in the world but play dumb because they think its cute. Yeah that the girls of this generation. Too bad that cute boy will never know what they really are made of. The girl who voted for the president with religious morals. The girl who would rather wear sweatpants then the 400 dollar heels. The one who sold herself short of her dream of being successful with a loving family for the other life she's living now. Why does she pretend? Probably because the first time she opened up and made herself vulnerable she was hurt, crushed and left alone.
