Dead Man's Prophecy

by Levi   Oct 31, 2006

The dead man's prophecy has come true,
And destroyed the only truth you knew.
The world is dying from what we have done,
It's to late and the human race has won.
Killing ourselves and the world we know,
And now we've got no save place to go.
The Earth will soon crumble and fall,
And every human will utter their final call.
We have killed the World and it's falling apart,
And we all enter the age of the dark.

The dead man's prophecy has come true,
And destroyed the only truth you knew.
If only we could have realised before,
But the earth can't take our cancer anymore.
We multiply and create towers of steel,
And invent so comfort we can feel.
Independence; lost with our past that's gone,
And we've spread to the earth's very edge,
Now the human race balances on a rocky ledge.

The dead man's prophecy has come true,
So now what is the human race going to do?
One more step and we will fall from the ledge and pay,
Or we could take one back and change our ways.
The human hand is powerful and deadly; able to create,
Use them towards peace and prosperity and not just hate.
Make up your mind or the prophecy will be fulfilled,
And if it does that means you and I will be killed...

You are so right. I liked this poem a lot. It's got a nice flow to it, and I like the way you keep repeating "Dead Man's Prophecy."
