Scared to say goodbye

I am scared of loosing
A friend I once had
Yet it doesnt make me angry,
It is making me sad.
We have been friends since forever
And change happens, I know
But I dont think that im ready
For us to let go
I love you to death
I would do anything for you
But Im not going to change who I am
So what more can I do?
I am just hoping its a phase,
And this barrier will fall down
You will notice, I am grieving
And help me up, off the ground
