Goodbye

It started out as friends,
but was more by it's end.
My world was great
but was shattered by a mistake.
I loved you with all my heart,
and could not stand being apart.
You called me at three,
and left me on my knees.
You said you had to do it,
but why?
We exchanged the words we had,
but with so much hurt
it ended in tears.
You shoulder would be lend,
now my broken heart must mend.
You said you loved me,
and with a sigh...
I just said goodbye.

--This is my first poem. So it might not be a great one, but I tried!
