I am...

by Johanna   Nov 2, 2006

I am a plague to the heart,
constantly lingering at your side.
A venomous poison seizing your mind,
and enjoying each moment of it.

I am of pure torment.
I do not speak for the innocent,
but for the fool-hearted.
One by one I take over your simple-minded heads,
discovering how susceptible you really are.

I am a silent killer;
my victims pay for their actions.
Locked away in your conscience I play.
I find games with the mind most amusing.

I am not merciful, or compassionate.
I have no desire to be your friend.
In fact, I take pleasure in becoming your enemy.
I am..Guilt.
