Lifeless and in Love

by Johanna   Nov 2, 2006

You killed her that day, with your words and your anguish.
The torture her heart went through just to make you understand.

Agony and affliction lay upon her now.
How could such little words ruin the life of one that used to be so sturdy?

I guess you'll never know now will you?
Was killing her soul the only way out?
Couldn't you make her understand in another approach?

She still makes no attempt to hate you with what she has left,
not that there is a whole lot there.
Just an empty soul that surprisingly still has the strength to smile in her grave that you helped dig.

Your bare hands calloused from the hard labor of making that burial place.
As she stands there; humming the song you two danced to in each others arms for the first time.

You used to hold her so closely...
Yet now you're afraid to even touch
her.
You act as if she is some kind of poison

All she wants is an answer to the question of why.
Yet you can't even give her that.

Her eyes stare at you deeply full of so much emotion imploding inside her...
Yet no words come from her lips.

Through all the pain you cause her she still forgives you.
She can not hate some one that she still holds so much love for...
