Who am I?

Look at me.
Now see me
You can look but not see, you can hear but not listen, you can explain but not understand
See me
What do you see?
A good church going girl?
A young actress trying to gain aproval from an audience?
a cheerful person trying to share her joy with the world?
Really concentrate.
Maybe i am a bad girl seeking forgiveness from the church
maybe an actress in life trying to gain aproval from the world
maybe a sad person attempting to mask what is true.
What if i cover myself with a sheet of illusions, a blanket of lies?
What if i am that?
What if i am more?
Whenever you look at me do you see me or just glance at the covering?
Do you reach out to my soul and grasp who i am?
can you reach that far?
can you pierce the bomb shelter surrounding my heart and soul?
can you see me?
What do you see?

    I thought this was amazing. People can often claim to know you but really they only see what they want to see, partially because we dont want or need everyone to see anything so we hide certain things but also partly because its easier to ignore things and pretend than it is to face up to them.
    its also true vice versa tho, i mean how many people put on a facade around us?
