This Hallow

by Michael Mcdonald   Nov 2, 2006

At last
my loneliness consumes me
like a branch in the wind
it surrounds me
and I surcome to it's will
I stand but one of many
entrenched in thought
my mind moves quickly
yet my body remains quit still
My energy is drained
I am on empty
though my mouth the
heart cries out in vain
my echo sounds out
reassuring me of my existence
though my eyes the
soul exposes it's pain
Invested with life
intoxicated by time
I search for it's meaning
but find none
lost within my uncertainty
confused by my lack
of understanding
I brace for the onset
of the morning sun.
