Our Dance

by *Charisma*   Nov 2, 2006

I've not revealed that I like you
So you don't put on a show
What I see is just what you are
And it's this that's hard to know

Because you say what my heart wants
And keep me looking for more
It's hard to accept these feelings
At least much harder than before

I'd like to give up all hope
To say things wouldn't work out
But you've given no reason for me
To ever once fall into doubt

Why do you have to be wonderful
And make my dreams keep soaring
Like a dancer to a steady beat
There's simply no ignoring

So I'll tap my foot to the rhythm
But keep it slow and steady
Hopefully you'll ask me to dance
One day whenever you're ready

Wonderful poem..i loved it.especially the part where you say you'd love to give up hope but that person hasnt given you a reason why.damn its so frustrating not knowing if the other person feels the same but until then we will continue to wait because without them life is not worth living.i rate this a 5!

A good poem love, not your best, but much better than some people ever do. My favorite stanza was by far the closing one. A nice, strong, slightly unconcluded ending. Good work.
