My Lost Friend

My very best friend
who I thought would be here to the end
let me go never to be heard from again.

He was my life
breaking my worst strife.

I loved him as a brother
for he was like no other.

I wonder if he felt the same way.
If so, why did he keep his feelings at bay?
Was it hard for him to say?

I still feel the same from the bottom of my heart
and it pains me to see that now we are apart.

We had such a beautiful thing going
and I'm sorry to see that it's no longer growing.

No matter what this is how I'll feel
even if he shuts me out with a super strong seal.

I would do anything for him
even if our probabilities are slim.

I lost my best friend
so now I'm all alone again
and this seems like the end,
as I yearn for a mend.

He was and always will be
very special to me
even if he has no more interest in me.

I’ll always love him very much
even if he has no feelings of such.

I'm unsure of what to do
for I am still blue.

I've almost lost all hope
with nothing to cope
but I won't sit and mope.

If I had a chance to make things right,
I would keep it that way with all of my might.

I feel as if I'm holding a heavy pack.
What must I do to have all of it back?
