I shut my world pitch black;
Laid myself down in comfort;
With an exhausted mind;
Closed my eyes ...
with a single hope;
Was desperate to initiate;
A good night's sleep...
I told my restless mind;
To kindly oblige me;
Of a few hours of silence...
But it refused to budge...
Rudely awakening me,
With stress and a thousand words;
Confusing me with endless thoughts;
I declared war in the dark;
Against my mischievious mind
And to expunge Mr Insomnia;
The trespassers of my precious sleep...
I stared at the black ceiling...
I counted the good ole sheeps;
And yes Jesus was the good sheperd;
I even listened to lullabies in vain;
But the party has just gotten merrier...
Gosh, I rather be dead...
Or have a series of night mare;
Than to entertain you lot...
You are draining me dry;
Killing me slowly day and night;
