Unspoken Appologies

by {Miss} [A][L][L][I][S][O][N]   Nov 3, 2006

Phone cords twisted
Around nervous, shaking fingers
Wound too tightly to wipe tears
From bleeding eyes.

Each ring's a scream for
"I miss you"
Only wishing I
Could close my eyes
And wake up
To find you here
To touch, hold
And finally sleep
On your shoulder

But don't worry, baby
The busy signal appologized for you
It just would have been nice
To hear your
Voice.

Very cute! I love the whole busy signal thing. How it is apologizing. I liked this poem a lot. Short and sweet!
