I've Got Your Best Parts (lyrics)

by *Charisma*   Nov 3, 2006

You've been everything to me
All a girl could ask of a father
Still, I think you doubt my love
But I love being your daughter

So we've got seperate trees
And the apples aren't the same
Who cares what anyone says
About my different last name

CHORUS:
Maybe I don't have your eyes
But I see the same world
Maybe I don't have your blood
But I'm still your girl
Maybe I don't have your hair
But I've got your heart
No matter what anybody else says
I've got your best parts

You leave early in the morning
So we can have all that we need
Got me into a college now
So that I can succeed

You smile despite your illness
And spend time despite the pain
I've learned from you that giving
Is the way true givers gain

CHORUS:
Maybe I don't have your eyes
But I see the same world
Maybe I don't have your blood
But I'm still your girl
Maybe I don't have your hair
But I've got your heart
No matter what anybody else says
I've got your best parts

This had an X factor to it and I loved it! It was truly beautiful Charisma! I mean the talent shown here is amazing, especially because it's so personal to you and yet you still worded it wonderfully. Sometimes when something's really personal to me I just write to get it out and it has no form what-so-ever but this flowed REALLY well. Keep it up!
