She thinks of him night and day,
He thinks nothing of her or anything she would say.
She does everything to make him happy,
She wants friendship why can't he see?
Sometimes it seems she wants more than that,
But deep inside friendship is all she needs.
At times he can be a sweetheart,
When he's rude it rips her heart apart.
Attached is what she is to him,
It's not her fault, it dwells within.
But what can she do,

Why can't she tell him these words,
Why can't he see how much she cares.
Why can't he realize how much he means to her,

Her a seventeen year old girl, put that thought aside,

All he can say is that there are to many differences between them,
All she can say is how much they have in common.
So much tears that night she couldn't fake,
she wishes she was taken seriously and he would make,
Her smile just like a best friend does.
Instead a shadow is what she has become,
Why can't her heart just go numb.

Why can't he give her the friendship he did before?
