Holding Back Tears

Tears stinging my eyes
As I try to blink them back
They are strimming down my cheeks
Making my cheeks hot and wet

I walk away
Broken hearted
And you just let me leave
I don't look back

I can't look at you
Without my heart breaking all over again
I try not to look at you
As the tears come flowing back

As they come back
So does the stinging and the heartache
Making the pain come back to the surface
Only the pain is twice as strong

It hurts so much
Just to breathe
Knowing we aren't together anymore
And holding back tears and the pain is hurting me even more
