There tangled in my heart
too scared to even try
too afraid of the poison
that leaks into the air
every time you take a breath
my heart trembles
fumbles at a loss of words
the pain pierces through my skin
the words embedded in my heart
they can't escape
the 3 simple words
those words, eloquent with compassion
they cower in a corner
swallowed by darkness
a love unbearable to my heart
each minute, stings me with pain
each minute, left without the strength
to reveal the truth,
to release the agony
I've felt so long
to speak those unspeakable
3 words, 8 letters
each letter marked with passion and hope;
