I Need You Now, Teach Me More.

by Mousie   Nov 4, 2006

I step through that door
Memories embedded
In every crevice of the walls
Holding the end I dreaded.

A blue jay sings
The sweet song of spring
Unjust to the loss
Of such a lovely thing.

Pictures cover the walls
The innocence gone,
A life abandonned
In the eyes of one.

You taught me my life
The laughter and love,
The hardships and pain
The prized ball and glove.

The radio whispers
The memories of you,
Something I can't explain
The only thing to hold onto.

This girl has been faced
With this unfair dilemma,
You should be here now
Watching me grandma.

I need you now
More than ever before,
Why did you leave me here?
Teach me more.

this poem is about my grandma who died a few years ago. she was a huge part of my life and taught me a lot. now is the time i look to her for help, but she's not there. but i know she's there in spirit. please leave your comments.

Wow....this was so sad...I'm almost crying...and I can relate to it, although it wasn't my grandma I lost but another family member...a great job, and a very emotional piece.
