I am comforted by your presence
Feeling safer with you near
Trusting in your strength and power
To protect me while I'm here

A wisdom lurks behind your eyes
And watches what's around
A toughness in your every move
To keep all safe and sound

An innocence when you talk to me
Desiring that I feel the same
A kindness in the way you look
A presence so strong yet tame

I admire everything about you
You are all that makes what's right
I hope we can be together
So I can stand closer to your light
