Death's Kiss

Dreaming of darkness
I wish for sleep to come
So that I may not wake
My heart, its like a drum
Come to me sweet silence
Erase my broken soul
Give me bitter comfort
That living, always stole
Give to me nothingness
Dark, and pure as night
I am painfully tired
Of having internal light
Extinguish the flame in me
Much like the setting sun
Tell me to open my eyes
Let me know when it is done
Then I will feel death's kiss
Gentle on my now cold skin
I will finally have my peace
For in the bleak end, I win.
