Hard to withstand
what she feels inside
and no one seems to understand
why she cries at night
the weight on her shoulders
the pain she shall forever keep
no one there to hold her
as she cries herself to sleep
she has no one by her side
to comfort her any longer
for everyone she has ever loved has died
but still she grows stronger
she does not understand
the purpose for her time on earth
and she does not yet know of her plan
of how she will be the one to heal all the hurt
she deserves more than any words could ever spell
with all of her strength in her heart
she will outlive everyone on earth
but she still needs a place to start
