Acroos the distant oceans
In a land far, far away,
Is a man they say will love me
And that I'll find him some day.
I'm longing for his tenderness
To feel his gentle touch,
All I want is someone to love me
Am I asking for too much?
I've traveled for a lifetime
Searching for his love,
But still my heart is empty
And so I drift on like a dove.
But will I ever find the man
They promised that I would?
Or were they all just telling lies
To try and make me feel good?
